In today’s fast-changing world, it is becoming increasingly common for employees to work in different positions among different departments in one company. While some people may feel that this kind of job rotation has many disadvantages, this essay will argue that the overall effect is quite positive.

Job rotations and reassignments can have many positive effects on employees, departments and companies. When employees work in different positions, they usually carry out different projects which may need a great deal of new knowledge; therefore, they are more likely to enrich their knowledge and expand their working experience. Furthermore, the department they are transferred to may provide higher position, which they may have long been searching for. It is also worth mentioning that a department may become more competitive and productive by transferring out some stuffs who are no longer necessary and transferring in new faces who it really needs. The company, thus, as a whole, can become more agile and flexible, and respond quickly to markets needs.

On the other hand, opponents may argue that job rotations and reassignments mechanism has many negative effects on working people and firms. Employees may feel a sense of isolation due to working in a relatively strange environment, and they may become anxious and depressed when they have to deal with many new challenges and work together with new stuffs. Consequently, they might become less efficient and productive, which in turn undermine the whole efficiency and productivity of the department that they are transferred to.

To summarise, although the practice of job reassignments may reduce efficiency and productivity of stuffs and departments in a short run, it can provide employees with numerous opportunities to improve job skills, enrich knowledge and get better positions, and it also can help companies become more competitive and flexible. Therefore, firms should encourage their employees to rotate from one potion to another.

7,unbelievable!
